Youth Services
Providing support, advice, representation and
information for its member organisations
There are a number of opportunities and services that RCVYS can offer to you as a
Voluntary, Community or Faith organisation:
- Lobbying - we represent the collective views and interests of our members on a number
of statutory groups and committees within the Reading area.
- Information - we are an access point for information on issues effecting voluntary
sector youth and children’s work in the Reading area.
- Training - we offer our members access to training opportunities in areas such as
First Aid, child protection, minibus driving and youth work as well as many other
areas.
- CRB checks - we are able to offer advice and access to CRB checking. There is a small
administration charge in addition to any charge made by the CRB.
- Exchange - we offer a forum for debate and discussion of the issues effecting voluntary
sector youth and children’s work in the Reading area.
Membership of RCVYS is open to:
- Any individual, club, group or society whose primary aim is to work with children
and young people in the Reading area.
- Any club, group or society who supports the aims and objectives of RCVYS and has
children and young people’s interests in mind.
- Any properly constituted county, regional or national umbrella organisation representative,
which supports the welfare of children and young people in clubs and elsewhere in
the Reading area.
There is currently no charge for membership.
